Capital International Airport, as “China’s first gateway”, is one of China’s busiest international airports and most important windows showing the national image. It is the largest aviation hub in Asia and the second largest in the world. It operates international flights to 111 cities in 54 countries and regions, and domestic flights to 133 cities, with an annual take-off and landing capacity of 637,000 sorties and a passenger throughput of 120 million person-times, covering 40 million person- times of overseas passengers and 40 to 50 million person-times of picking up and dropping off passengers, affecting nearly 170 million passenger groups.
